Life threw some curve balls last week that I wasn't prepared to hit. My faith was tested and so was my patience. I was literally stressed out.
While dealing with all that was occurring, I remembered that I hadn't gone to hot yoga in a minute. So I made it my business to be front and center at the next class. As soon as I walked in the heated studio, I felt some relief. Then the teacher began the class with breathing exercises, and I actually felt the stress leaving my body. I then said to myself, "Sam, you forgot to breathe!"
Breathing doesn't eliminate any problems of course, but it does help when you feel yourself stressing. Taking deep breaths helps me to think clearly and eliminate any pent up negativity I have festering inside. The next time you find yourself in a crazy situation, stop for a minute and take a few deep breaths. I guarantee you'll feel a little better.
